this is what happens when you try to import a ' grey ' market vehicle into the U.S.A. . the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency have the knowhow to deal with this .
I believe vehicles must be 25 years or older and relatively stock ... matching #'s , legit VIN # to be imported into the U.S. ; I know of people who tried to import ' grey ' market vehicles as kit cars ... bad move ... the vehicles were all crushed . a big $ loss here .
