off roading is dead ?
perhaps there are some legit reasons that may contribute to this .. priorities change .
folks getting married and starting a family .. $$$$$$$$$$
buying a house .. $$$$$$$$$
cost of rising fuel costs and repairs $$$$$$$$$
less disposable income
folks wanting to reduce their debt load [ perhaps selling a 4x4 ]
changing interests
house maintenance .. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
club BS politics
my 2 cents
i still like to wheel and do take trips with the Rover Landers and the 4wdabc when i get down to the coast
exploring different areas . gerry

Wheeling is not dead timber, more people are just on the f'in computer and not doing shit anymore, people spend more time bitching at each outer and there idea's ( I've been one of then before) of wheeling and pissing each other off, then going out. There are two many groups and separation here. If the groups could find away to mend there fences from the past and have one off-road club again it would be far better. Last year we did 5 trips posted on both sites and had the same 4-5 trucks out and 2 of them were ours. I-click doesn't see eye to eye with NCOS and this is a place in the middle doesn't make sense need one site for this area not three
For the other dude reply about $ We have kids, house, bills as well, however we still have our rigs and daily drivers, priority's are definitely first however to keep you're rigs a priority don't go buy a ( not saying you did personally just for general conversation), $ 50,000 dollar daily driver and a $ 30,000 dollar vehicle to drive for the wife then go make monthly payments on a $25,000 dollar holiday trailer. If wheeling is a priority to you you can still have it all just be smart with you're money and don't blow you're load on payments.

Your right Rosco - priorities seem to be out to lunch lately with a lot of wheelers. I hate to see my truck sitting in the yard, its too much of a financial investment to just sit around and do nothing with it. Never mind the time investment that could have been put into anything else.
Its funny, that folks who had an issue with the NCOAS, and started ICLICK, don't associate with ICLICK anymore (not that I've noticed anyway). They've moved on, yet the animosity remains. Go figure...
And now we have the PG Jeep club to add into the mix. It would be nice to have a single umbrella organization that would be enjoyable to everybody.
Sounds like its time to put an ad in the paper, or Bargin Finder, and pick a night and location and see who shows up from the "joe public" population that likes to wheel and is interested in getting together on a regular basis to talk shop, and go wheeling...

Re: offroading is dead
I know wheeling isnt dead but I needed a catchy title that everyone was going to stop and read lol . Ive posted this in all three sites with the same results I think. your idea of combining all the groups again is exactly what is needed but with maybe outside mods so that all the old rivaly or whatever they all start on equal ground. not sure if any of that makes sense too you guys

Re: offroading is dead
It makes sense, but personality clashes are inherent to any large group. There is no real way to get around them or prior rivalry's given the ammunition that we have to play with. Nothing gets an argument started like brand loyalty, or the ability to rag on some one's build while hiding behind an internet identity.
Best thing we could hope for is that a little maturity has flowered with the passing of time as some of us get older. That, and give the trouble makers the boot asap; don't let shit get out of hand and then try to deal with it.
