ray would be familiar with these rules ; i have been looking into importing a LC diesel LHD [ a 4x4 stock station wagon ] . an inspection of the vehicle with diesel power/ no rust and low mileage 160000 +/- would be the main criteria . i have a contact in Germany and 1 in New Mexico keeping an eye on what's available .
we will see what comes up .

hey ray ... would be interested in a BJ60 [ believe their production models  spanned  80-89 ]  . more specifically looking for a stock HJ60 5-spd 6 cyl 2H-type diesel  LHD without all the luxury items like an electric moon roof , power windows , power mirrors etc .... [ so called luxury items  for that era crack me up ; who needs them ? ] . we will see what shakes down .

I just sent my '87 HJ60 to the scrapper... Wasn't much left of it except for a decent interior. Les has the 2H, auto and tcase, and I kept the diffs and steering and few odds'n'ends... All the 2H equipped trucks in N. America where automatics only (as far as I know).

Shouldn't be an issue with the importation either, just a simple safety inspection required as its over 15 years old...
